Early-Mid 20th Century; Original, stamped and tested 14K, Size 11.75, yellow gold man’s cast sapphire and diamond ring with a half-round shank, and a polished finish. The ring is center set with one 3.35ct. oval faceted blue sapphire (estimated weight), in a rhodium-plated bezel surrounded by sixteen round full cut diamonds, bead set, with an estimated total of 1 ct. The ring measures 19.37mm wide at the top, 10.60 mm wide at the shoulders and 7.14 mm wide at the back of the band. The ring is open behind the sapphire and sits 5 mm off the finger. The trademark is WJ. Identified with markings of “14K”. Contains one bezel-set oval modified mixed cut natural bleu sapphire, measuring 10.60 x 8.20 x 4.37 mm (depth est.), approximate weight of 3.35 ct., clarity is slightly included, medium dark, very slightly grayish, violetish blue color (GIA vB 6/3), cut is good. Sixteen bead-set round brilliant-cut diamonds, measuring 2.55 – 2.50 x 1.52 mm (depth est.), approximate total weight of 16 stones = 1.00ct. One is chipped. Color H-I, clarity I-1, cut is very good. Otherwise, appears to be a very good estate found condition. Total weight of colored stones 3.35 ct. Total weight of diamonds 1.00ct. Total weight of ring 24.6 grams.
