Description

Early-Mid 20th Century; Original, stamped and tested 14K, Size 9.5, yellow gold man’s cast synthetic ruby ring with a half-round shank and a basket weave finish. The ring is centered by one bezel-set, 8 ct. (estimated weight), round faceted, synthetic ruby. The half-round band has what appears to be a basket weave finish, which shows normal wear. The half-round band measures 12.64 mm wide at the top and tapers to 3.53 mm at the back of the band. The trademark is BA Ballou. Identified with markings of “14K”. Contains one bezel-set round modified brilliant cut laboratory created ruby, measuring 12.00 x 12.00 x 6.98 mm, (depth est.), approximate weight of 8.00ct., clarity is eye clean, medium dark, moderately strong, red color (GIA R 64), cut is poor. Large chip on the crown. Otherwise, appears to be in good estate found condition. Total weight of colored stones 8.00ct. Total weight of ring 11.2 grams. Please see photos.
