Description

Mid 20th Century; 32” length, silver overlaid 14K yellow gold antique fox head pendant/brooch combination item, with a 10K yellow gold jump ring style bail and an early hinged pin with a c-catch, a safety latch, and a converter to remove the bail. The pendant features pave set rose and mine cut diamonds throughout the front with bead set round ruby gemstone eyes and a high polished back section. It hangs from a cultured freshwater pearl strand with a sterling silver fish hook style clasp. Pendant measures 32.0 mm x 17 mm and is hand constructed and assembled. The custom pin converter is 18K white gold. Contains (74) mine and rose cut diamonds, 0.004 to 0.12 ct each. Total weight 2.19 ct. (est.) clarity SI-1 to I-1, color H-J, cut poor to good, polish poor to good. (2) round faceted rubies 0.04 - 0.04ct each. Total weight 0.08ct (est.) Clarity Type II, slightly included, transparent, color medium purplish red, cut good, brilliancy 50%-70% moderate red fluorescence. Pearl strand measures 32” length, size 8.3-9.0 (clasp pearl is 3.5) mm, near round, white with rose overtones, very good luster, clean surface, very good nacre, excellent matching with a sterling silver fish hook with accent pearl with a hallmark of 925 and trademark of “Desired” Overall, appears to be in very good condition.
