Literature
Antique Victorian running fox brooches pavé-set with rose-cut diamonds are highly coveted, collectable examples of 19th-century sporting and novelty jewelry. Popularized during the late Victorian era (circa 1870–1900), these pieces captured the period's obsession with naturalism, the romance of the British hunt, and fine equestrian craftsmanship. The running fox figures are almost universally pavé-set with shimmering rose-cut or old-cut diamonds to emulate the texture and sheen of fur. In classic Victorian fashion, diamonds are typically set in silver to enhance their bright white appearance, backed by 9ct, 15ct, or 18ct yellow or rose gold underlays
