Literature

Very fine 14K gold jade cabochon rings, often featuring high-quality "Type A" jadeite (natural, untreated jade), represent a blending of ancient Eastern reverence for jade with modern Western jewelry styling. These pieces are frequently associated with mid-20th-century retro or estate jewelry, often dating to the 1960s and 1970s, featuring rich, green, translucent jadeite set in yellow gold, which was popular during this period.
