Description

Mid 20th Century, Original, Nancy Jo Fox taught as a professor of Advanced Color Theory at the NY School of Interior Design for 25 years as well as took classes while teaching. This archive includes: NYSID January 1963 certificate of completion in Decorative Arts course, a beautiful black and white portrait of Fox in her late 20s framed in a filigree metal and gold gilt 17" by 14" frame. The photograph was taken by Berenson in NYC. (4) name tags including NYU, NYSID, and American Society of Designers. Term paper "From Remnants to Raggedy Ann: North American Rag Dolls" written in Spring 1982 with an A grade. Term paper "Dark Laughter: Black Reflections in North American Folk Sculpture" written in Winter 1981 with an A Grade. Report card from NYSID in 1962 of her Evening Classes receiving As and one B+. (4) Interior design homework projects showing Fox adding color and textiles to various room designs, all with A grades. Huge scrap book of interior design inspiration created for one of her classes, received an A grade. Some papers have staining but otherwise the collection is in great condition.
