Duke University Class of 1954 6" tall mug marked Jo from Nassau China Trenton NJ. 1951 The Debutante Register book with Fox on page 414: Miss Nancy Jo Fox Daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Eugene Fox Albemarle. Debut Terpischorean Club Ball, Memorial Auditorium, Raleigh Friday September 7, 1951. A graduate of Albemarle High School, Miss Fox attended Ravenscroft Episcopal School and Needham Broughton High School in Raleigh, and is not a student at Duke University, Durham, North Carolina. Member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, Duke Glee Club, Duke University Choir, and Duke Players. Nancy "Jo" Fox was a distinguished art historian, educator, and author who specialized in American folk art. Career Highlights: Author: She wrote the book Liberties with Liberty (1986), which explored the history of the Statue of Liberty through folk art. Educator: She served as an instructor of Advanced Color and American Folk Art at the New York School of Interior Design. Curator: In 1986, she curated a successful exhibition for the American Folk Art Museum in New York City.
