Literature

The history of the Georgian style flame mahogany breakfront combines the 18th-century Georgian furniture period with the 20th-century revival of this style, characterized by ornate, refined designs and the use of rich flame mahogany. While the Georgian period (1714-1837) introduced mahogany and elegant forms, the breakfront as a specific piece of furniture with its distinct shape became popular as a reproduction and revival style in the 20th century, often appearing as a china cabinet or library bookcase.
