Early 20th Century; Original, A 14K yellow gold vintage fancy link bracelet by J.E. Caldwell & Co., with equestrian stirrup links and fox head links, and a fold over clasp. The largest fox head link is in the center of the bracelet. It has a textured finish and bead set round ruby gemstone eyes. The two smaller fox head links are also textured with bead set round ruby gemstone eyes. The remainder of the bracelet has a high polished finish. Vintage 14K gold fox head stirrup bracelets are classic examples of Equestrian (Sporting) Jewelry, a genre that peaked in popularity during the late Victorian (1837–1901) and Edwardian (1901–1910) eras. These pieces were designed to reflect the high-society lifestyle of the British and American landed gentry, particularly the traditional fox hunt.
