Landrus McCauley "Mack" Squires was a prominent early 20th-century independent bottler whose short, dramatic tenure at the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Works in Burlington, North Carolina produced some of the state's rarest and most sought-after antique soda bottles. Before making his mark in Burlington, L.M. Squires was highly active in the emerging Piedmont soft drink industry. Around the turn of the century, he partnered with J. Zeb Waller and William M. Miles to form the Noxall Bottling Works in Hillsborough, North Carolina. Recognizing the rapid growth of the franchised soda market, the partners eventually sold the company to transition to larger ventures. Following his time in Hillsborough, Squires moved to Burlington to work under his former business partner, Zeb Waller, who had established the local Pepsi-Cola plant. In the early 1910s, tragedy struck when Waller was killed by a train in Efland, North Carolina.Squires purchased the business from Waller's estate, operating out of a bottling building located on Spring Street in downtown Burlington and officially designating himself as the proprietor (PROP.) on the glass. His advertisements championed Pepsi-Cola as "The King of Drinks"

All packages, will be shipped in a timely manner. A timeline for items shipped will not be provided. Items will be shipped in the order paid invoices are received. Bidders are always welcome to pickup at our gallery in lieu of shipping. MAAG will not arrange shipping for oversized items. It is on the bidder to find a courier or pick up at our gallery. Online Bidders: We will add shipping charges to your invoice once we have your shipping cost. Once payment for the invoice is received, we will have our shipping department package and prepare your items for shipping. That means we automatically prepare items for shipping after payment is collected. We use the address listed on your account for shipping.
