Literature
Early American dollhouse furniture and accessories emerged from late 19th-century European "baby houses," with mass production beginning in the U.S. around the 1890s with companies like Bliss Manufacturing. Initially handmade, furniture production shifted to mass manufacturing in the early 20th century, becoming available through catalogs and mass-produced in materials like wood, tin, and ceramic, often on a scale of two-thirds inch to one foot.
