Literature

Before mass media, glass manufacturers used these flasks as literal "billboards" to appeal to the patriotism and political views of working-class Americans. They chose designs reflecting major eras. Bottles frequently featured portraits of figures like George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and Marquis de Lafayette to celebrate American independence. Commemorative designs depicted early locomotives, agricultural tools (like sheaves of wheat), and the phrase "Success to the Railroad" to cheer on technological progress.National Identity: Symbols like the American Eagle, the Goddess of Liberty, and Masonic imagery were stamped onto the glass to evoke national pride. By the 1860s, bottles like the "Union" Clasped Hands flask became highly popular, serving as direct political statements supporting the preservation of the United States

Once payment for the invoice is received, we will have our shipping department package and prepare your items for shipping. That means we automatically prepare items for shipping after payment is collected. We use the address listed on your account for shipping.
