Literature

Antique artifacts from East African Hehe and Gogo tribes include ritualistic items, such as Gogo clubs or Hehe ceremonial objects, and everyday tools like metalwork and beadwork. The Hehe are known for their historical resistance to colonization and Gogo culture is shaped by a history of pastoralism, drought, and intricate social structures. Some artifacts were also carved for spiritual purposes, like vigango, though these are typically associated with the Mijikenda people, not the Hehe or Gogo.
