Literature

The 1960 "Children of Earth" (German: Kinder der Erde) 2.5 Ducats Gold Aureus Magnus is a fantasy medal created by German medallist Werner Graul as part of his "Aureus Magnus" (Great Gold) series, designed between 1955 and 1982 to promote a gold-backed world currency. The "Children of Earth" series is recognized as one of the 33rd thematic series in the project, often featuring themes of peace, unity, and mythology. 1960 Production: The 1960 series was released during the peak of Graul's "Aureus Magnus" project. The 2.5 Ducats denomination is a fractional size within this system, usually reflecting a 98% gold fineness.
