Literature

Rothschild & Sons produced silver bars at London's Royal Mint Refinery (RMR), with vintage bars from 1934 being highly sought after by collectors. N.M. Rothschild & Sons leased and operated the RMR from 1852 until 1967, and their bars are known for their historical significance. A 1934 silver bar from Rothschild is considered a rare relic in the precious metals community, with examples sometimes appearing at auction. Historical origin: The Rothschild family, a major force in investment banking and finance, acquired the lease for the Royal Mint Refinery in 1852, entering the precious metals refining business. Their involvement in the bullion trade helped cement their status as major players in global finance.
